Bert Jansch, L.A. Turnaround, LP UK Charisma Records 1974 - CAS1090

This beautiful vinyl is now rare and has not been reissued and it is not clear why. Some tracks appear on "Three Chord Trick" (Virgin 7/1993) and three on the compilation "Dazzling Stranger: The Bert Jansch Anthology" (Castle Music 11/2000). Bert is accompanied on this album by Jesse Ed Davis (guitar), Mike Nesmith (guitar), Jay Lacy (guitar), Red Rhodes (pedal steel), Byron Berline (fiddle/mandolin), Mike Cohen (electric piano), Klaus Voorman (bass), Danny Lane (drums). The album was recorded in different places (California, Paris, London) and with different production people, including Danny Thompson. The path was tormented because the recordings were initially rejected, some were destroyed and then re-recorded for this debut of Jansch for the Charsima label.

Questo splendido vinile è ormai raro e non risulta ristampato e non si capisce il perché. Alcune tracce compaiono in "Three Chord Trick" (Virgin 7/1993) e tre nella compilation "Dazzling Stranger: The Bert Jansch Anthology" (Castle Music 11/2000). Il percorso è stato tormentato perché le registrazioni sono state in un primo tempo rifiutate, alcune sono state distrutte e in seguito nuovamente registrate per questo debutto di Jansch per l'etichetta Charsima.
