A beautiful collection, compiled by Bernard Butler, that spans Bert Jansch's career, from his first album to his latest studio album, "The Black Swan." BMG somewhat presumptuously states on the back cover that the album is "Impeccably Remastered." In truth, while some remasters are particularly successful (such as "Poison"), others leave some doubts, given the excessive saturation of the guitar's sound when plucked. The cover art direction is by Neel Panchal, the drawings by Giulia Villa, and the archive photography of Bert comes from Brian Shuel's archive.

Una bella collection, compilata da Bernard Butler, che attraversa verticalmente la carriera di Bert Jansch, dal primo album fino all’ultimo in studio “The Black Swan”. Con un po’ di presunzione la BMG afferma sul retro di copertina che il disco è “Impeccably remastered”. In verità a fronte di rimasterizzazioni particolarmente riuscite (Poison), altre lasciano qualche dubbio considerata l’eccessiva saturazione del suono della chitarra quando è pizzicata. L’art direction della copertina è di Neel Panchal, i disegni di Giulia Villa, la fotografia di Bert di repertorio proviene dall’archivio di Brian Shuel.
