With the arrival of drummer Alan Dixon, Hedgehog Pie released The Green Lady, again produced by Heslop and Kemp. This album reveals their style had rapidly evolved, incorporating elements of jazz and hard rock and becoming much more individual. In addition to traditional songs, including "The Gardiner" and "The Burning of Auchendoon," the album also includes more original compositions, such as Doonan's "Daemon Merchant" and Jenkins' "Dreamer."
