Pentangle also enjoyed commercial success, and "Light Flight," the theme for a BBC1 series called "Take Three Girls," the first color program on the British television network, propelled "Basket of Light" to the top of the charts in 1969. The album represents Pentangle's most kaleidoscopic work, incorporating original songs and traditional songs, masterfully rearranged as always, including a sparkling "Sally Go Round the Roses," written by Spector for The Jaynetts.
