Pentangle, Basket of Light, LP UK Demon Records 1989 - TRANDEM 7

British reissue of "Basket of Light" twenty years after its publication. Pentangle also enjoyed commercial success, and "Light Flight," the theme for a BBC1 series called "Take Three Girls," the first color program on the British television network, propelled "Basket of Light" to the top of the charts in 1969. The album represents Pentangle's most kaleidoscopic work, incorporating original songs and traditional songs, masterfully rearranged as always, including a sparkling "Sally Go Round the Roses," written by Spector for The Jaynetts.

Anche per i Pentangle arriva il successo commerciale e a trascinare in vetta alle classifiche "Basket of Light" nel 1969 è "Light Flight", il tema per un serial di BBC1 intitolato “Take Three Girls”, il primo a colori della rete televisiva inglese. L'album rappresenta il lavoro più caleidoscopico dei Pentangle che riescono a inserire tra brani originali e traditionals riarrangiati, come sempre magistralmente, anche una frizzante Sally Go Round The Roses, firmata da Spector per The Jaynetts.
