The cover of this album, perhaps one of the most famous and acclaimed, is inspired by an original painting by Géricault entitled "Le Radeau de la Medusa." The artwork is by Frank Murray. The back cover and inserts are accompanied by photographs by Cindy Palmano, featuring our heroes as sea wolves. Recorded at Elephant Studios in London, the album was produced by Elvis Costello.
