The Pogues, Pog Mo Thoins, Bootleg vinyl 12" LE PERE 1988 - 14

This bootleg is a recording of the concert The Pogues gave in Essen on November 27, 1988. The recording, made with an "ambient" microphone, is horrible, and the concert is difficult to listen to. But perhaps that's the beauty of bootlegs. The vinyl is labeled "made in Ireland" (?) and released by a self-described "Le Pere" record company. The front cover features a b/w photo of little significance, and the back features a couple of Guinness adverts. Who would have had the courage to release a record like that?

Questo bootleg è la registrazione del concerto che i Pogues hanno tenuto a Essen il 27 Novembre 1988. La registrazione, fatta con un microfono "ambient", è qualcosa di orribile, il concerto e ascoltabile con difficoltà. Ma forse questo è il bello dei bootlegs. Il vinile è dichiarato "made in Ireland" (?) e pubblicato da una sedicente casa discografica "le Pere". Sul fronte di copertina c'è una foto B/N poco significativa, sul retro un paio di pubblicità Guinness. Chi può avere avuto il coraggio di stampare un disco simile?
