This version of the Pogues without Shane MacGowan isn't bad at all; on the contrary, the compositions are commendable and the arrangements are very refined. "My Baby's Gone" is beautiful and captivating. Much credit goes to producer Michael Brook. The album cover features a famous photograph: "The Chief," courtesy of Bailey's African Photo Archives. The portrait photos of the musicians on the back cover are by Steve Pyke.

Questa versione dei Pogues senza Shane MacGowan non dispiace affatto, anzi: le composizioni sono apprezzabili e gli arrangiamenti molto curati. Bella e travolgente è "My Baby's Gone".
