The Pogues are at their best on this final album of their career, where the refined arrangements more than make up for the lack of Shane McGowan's rawness: Finer's compositions like "Pont Mirabeau" and "Tosspint" are splendid. The cover art for this final Pogues vinyl release was designed by Darryl Hunt and Claudia Poschl, and the photographs of the musicians on the back are by Steve Pyke.
