John Renbourn, The Attic Tapes, LP UKRiverboat Records 2016 - TUGLP1089

This "Attic Tapes" truly captures Renbourn's world in the 1960s. The vinyl contains twenty compositions, including live and previously unreleased home recordings. Colin Hood and Mark Walker did a truly excellent job editing and mastering the album, which sounds truly beautiful and features guest appearances by Davy Graham, Beverley Martin, and Mac Macleod. The liner notes were written by Renbourn himself a few months before his death in March 2016. The cover art is by Brad Hayne, with photographs by Paul Oliver and Roger M. Kinsey.

Davvero questo “Attic tapes” rappresenta bene il mondo di Renbourn negli anni sessanta. Il vinile contiene venti composizioni tra live e registrazioni casalinghe “previously unreleased”. Colin Hood e Mark Walker hanno fatto un lavoro di editing e masterizazione davvero molto buono, il disco infatti suona davvero bene e vede la partecipazione di Davy Graham, Beverley Martin e Mac Macleod. Le note di copertina sono state scritte dallo stesso Renbourn qualche mese prima della sua morte avvenuta nel Marzo del 2016. La grafica di copertina è opera Brad Hayne, le fotografie di Paul Oliver e Roger M. Kinsey.
