The Watersons (formerly The Mariners) hail from Hull and make their debut on this album, which Topic dedicates to the new voices of folk singing. The repertoire is East Yorkshire. Harry Boardman and Maureen Craik are the other two artists featured on this album, produced by A.L. Lloyd (who also wrote the liner notes) and recorded by Bill Leader.
