The beginning of Eliza's new album is disconcerting: it ranges from exotic atmospheres with salsa rhythms to beach swing tinged with calypso. But then things pick up, and the final compositions, like "Britain is a Carpark" and "Hansel," are incredibly intense. It's unclear what co-producer Dave Wah had in mind. The arrangements are generally effective, as are the packaging and Capt. Cally's art direction. The photography is by Steve Gullick.

L'inizio di questo nuovo album di Eliza è sconcertante: si va da atmosfere esotiche a ritmo di salsa fino a un beach swing venato di calypso. Poi però la situazione si riprende e le ultime composizioni, come "Britain is a Carpark" e "Hansel", sono di grande intensità. Non si capisce cosa il coproduttore Dave Wah avesse in mente.
